About me...

In a nutshell, I'm a software engineer, open source evangelist and a bit of an IT security freak. I was recently featured in the Top 50 Most Powerful Voices in Open Source.

Projects I am involved in:

  • TurnKey Linux is an open source project that's developing a family of free, Ubuntu-based software appliances which are optimized for ease of use in server-type usage scenarios and can be deployed in just a few minutes on bare metal, a virtual machine and in the cloud.

  • TurnKey Hub provides fully automated backup/restore, testing backups in the cloud, migrating working servers anywhere is minutes. It's also the easiest way to deploy applications in the Amazon EC2 cloud (more clouds and VPS providers on the way).

  • TorrentServer Handler is a small extension that integrates FireFox with an MLDonkey server, allowing you to add torrents and other links to the server's download queue with a single click.

  • Security Forest is a collaboratively edited forest of trees which anyone can contribute to. SecurityForest's trees are specific security repositories that are categorized for practical reasons.

  • Ubuntu is the fastest growing Linux distribution (based on Debian) with millions of users adopting it world wide. Ubuntu is an African word meaning "Humanity to others", or "I am what I am because of who we all are".
